…and so it begins

As I wrote earlier, Jenna (my wife) and I are training for a half marathon. We just finished our first full week of running, and it wasn’t bad. Here is yesterday’s run1 which was on a loosely-packed and rocky trail with a few hills. It wasn’t bad at all, but we were lucky to get good weather. Next week, our longer run is 5 miles, and then it steps up from there.
Here’s the map, which is probably senseless, but it looks cool:
- If you go look at our stats, you should know that I don’t always use the GPS device when I run; sometimes I forget to charge it, or I’m just in a hurry to get out the door, and leave it. [↩]

Hey, that’s interesting. I map with bikely & gmaps pedometer, but that’s all manual. I’m wondering if you’re able to synch the GPS device to a Mac.
Nice pace, by the way!

Hi Angelica,
You can sync it to a mac — it works great.
I’ve since stopped using MotionBased, and started using a program called “ascent” on the mac that gives you all kinds of great info. I really like the Forerunner 305. It works wonderfully, and I get HR data too.
Thanks for the words on the pace. Not even sure what it was. I’m running about 9-10 minute miles these days….
